What is a Bereavement Doula?

The news that your unborn child has received their angel wings will change you and your spouse forever and is something no one should endure on their own. Or receiving the news that your baby may have a genetic difference.

Friends and family will always be there to support you sometimes their best intensions could feel overwhelming and your lack of network in this field may also be a area of stress.

A bereavement doula is not just a shoulder to cry on but also a pillar of support and information during these times. The Bereavement doula offers emotional support and assists with the following arrangements if you wish to do so:

  • Putting together a memorial box which includes: photos, footprints.
  • Assistance to find a grief councilor in your area.
  • Contact the mortuary to collect your baby.
  • Finding support groups in your area.

We are here for you!
